Amanda Brugel
(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on that part of the island of Montreal called the West Island. The West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a vast region that runs from Lachine all the way west. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often cited, however her short stay wasn't. Brugel grew in Courtice close to Oshawa. She was determined to be professional, however due to an explosive expansion, she surpassed all of her dancing partners. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6ft 1in tall in heels. When I grew out of my male counterparts, I gave up. Bruce was among the former dancers who shifted to acting. Her teacher from high school was the one who pushed her into the right direction. She was recommended by a teacher to find a role in school's annual production. The student tried it out, and ended up playing the role of the main character in Anne of Green Gables. The show was granted a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Her career spans twenty years, and she's been in over 60 productions, both on big screens and on smaller ones. Her most notable role was the one of Rita (pictured beneath) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 which was viewed only occasionally.
